The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® is
a mobile dental unit that provides free dental examinations and preventive treatments to approximately 2,000 underserved, school age children in Beaufort County, South Carolina.
The children who are treated typically range in age from 3 to 11 years old. The majority of them have never seen a dentist before their first care mobile visit. The impact we are making on the lives of these children in their dental health is invaluable; school officials have seen a drop in school absences due to dental-related problems since the Care Mobile’s debut in 2002.
