Our Future

The Ronald McDonald House operates at capacity throughout most of the year with a significant waiting list. There is an obvious need for expansion and the Board of Directors, other volunteers and RMHC staff are working diligently towards a future capital campaign. Until then, the House continues to serve as many families possible with our unique brand of hospitality during their time of need.

The Family Room continues to serve families at St. Joseph’s/Candler and RMHC is exploring the addition of another room at Memorial University Medical Center,
where 95% of our families who stay at the House are referred from.  This room is projected to serve more than 15,000 individuals each year when completed. The Care Mobile program will expand its service area into Hampton and Jasper counties in 2010, increasing the number of children served by the program.

RMHC of the Coastal Empire continues to impact communities across Southeastern Georgia and in the Low country of South Carolina each day with a mission to create, find and support programs that improve the health and well-being of children and their families. We owe our continued success to the tireless work of volunteers and the countless contributions from our donors. Because of their efforts, we’ve been helping improve the lives of children and their families for 35 years internationally and locally for the past 22 years. Thank you for your continued support!
