Ronald McDonald House
The Savannah Ronald McDonald House opened in July 1987 through
donations from corporations, organizations, individuals, foundations
and the support of local McDonald’s owner/operators. Our House provides a “Home away from home”
for families who have critically ill or injured children receiving treatment at Savannah area hospitals.
In order to stay in our House a family must live 30-miles outside the city limits of Savannah. We serve many families from southern Georgia counties and those living in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. In 2008, the Savannah RMH served more than 300 families.
