Where Families Stay Close
Ronald McDonald House Coastal Empire
Ronald McDonald House Coastal Empire (map)
When a child is hospitalized, everything else stops.
Parents need to be near the bedside.
Siblings need stability.
Families need each other.
Ronald McDonald House Coastal Empire exists to ensure families can stay close to the medical care their child needs, without the added burden of travel, cost, or isolation.
A Place for Families to Stay
Our House includes 13 private guest rooms and welcoming shared spaces designed to provide comfort and stability during medical crisis.
Families have access to:
- Private bedrooms
• Shared kitchen and dining areas
• Laundry facilities
• Gathering spaces for rest and connection
• Outdoor areas for fresh air and reflection
But this is not about convenience.
It is about proximity.
We are just 176 steps from the NICU entrance and 354 steps from the front doors of the children’s hospital — close enough for parents to move between rest and bedside without losing precious time together.
Because when every moment matters, distance should not be another obstacle.
Built to Serve. Designed to Support.
Opened in 1987 as the 102nd Ronald McDonald House in the world, our House has supported families in the Coastal Empire for nearly four decades.
We expanded in 2013 to increase capacity, yet demand continues to exceed the number of rooms available.
Each room represents more than one bed.
It represents a family’s ability to stay.
