Ronald McDonald House©
The House that Love Buillt
The Ronald McDonald House© located in Savannah, Georgia (map) opened its doors in July of 1987 and continues to provide hope, encouragement and comfort to children and their families through donations from corporations, organizations, individuals, foundations and the support of local McDonald’s owner/operators. As the 100th House built, we are dedicated to providing a “Home Away from Home” for seriously ill or injured children and their families who are receiving treatment at local area hospitals.
In 2013, our then 10-bedroom House had to temporarily close due to some much needed renovations. We were closed for 189 nights. During the closure, we were able to expand our facilities and reopened with 13 guest rooms.
Our Ronald McDonald House© in Savannah features large living and dining spaces, including a full service double kitchen, laundry facilities, a movie room, a play area, computer and internet access as well as two outdoor areas.
