Our Relationship with McDonald's
Our Forever Partner
The Partnership That Built a Movement
Ronald McDonald House was born from a partnership, and that partnership remains at the heart of everything we do.
From the very beginning, McDonald’s stepped forward not simply as a donor, but as a founding partner. What started with a local fundraiser opening the first Ronald McDonald House has grown into a global relationship built on shared values: community, compassion, and responsibility to families in crisis.
Today, McDonald’s remains our largest corporate supporter worldwide.
But here in the Coastal Empire, the partnership is deeply personal.
More Than Financial Support
Our local McDonald’s Owner/Operators are not distant sponsors. They are neighbors, board members, volunteers, and advocates.
Their support extends far beyond financial contributions:
- Hosting in-restaurant fundraising initiatives
- Volunteering their time and leadership
- Serving on local boards
- Supporting Family Room, Hospitality Carts and House initiatives
- Providing meals and event sponsorship
- Investing in improvements
- and long-term sustainability
- Their generosity helped build the Family Room at Memorial Health Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah.
- They supported major refurbishments of our House.
They continue to stand beside us as the needs of families grow.
This is partnership in action.
A Shared Responsibility
While McDonald’s is our largest corporate partner, no single organization can fund the full scope of our mission.
Our ability to serve families depends on an entire community, individuals, businesses, foundations, civic groups, and volunteers, all working
together.
That is how this mission began.
That is how it continues.
To our local McDonald’s family: thank you.
Your commitment has helped thousands of families stay close when it mattered most.
And together, we carry that responsibility forward.
